About Me

Coach David was a 4 year varsity basketball player at Hackensack High School, and an honor roll student. David is currently in his senior year at William Paterson University, and he is studying sports management and he is also a dean’s list student. David is looking to pursue a career as a coach and skills trainer.

David is in his fourth season playing for the WIlliam Paterson men’s basketball team, and is one of four captains for this season. He is currently the teams leading scorer averaging 15 points a game, and has started in 21 career games.

Basketball is something that has always been a part of David’s life since he was a little boy. Basketball has always been a passion for David, and you can see how much he loves this sport through the way he plays, and his dedication that he gives to the game. From being a young kid playing on town recreational  teams, to joining club teams, to high school, then to collegiate basketball has always been a part of his life. Teaching and helping kids has always been a passion of  Davids and  getting to  teach and help kids learn and love the  game of basketball is something David can’t wait for.

Coach Martinez is excited to be on the STACK Basketball Coaching Staff and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with 1000s of kids that are in our program.
