About Me

Patrick is a graduate of SUNY Cortland, obtaining his degree in physical education. Patrick is striving to become a physical education teacher due to his own personal athletic experiences combined with his devotion to helping children reach their full athletic potential. He sees this profession as a way to give back to his community while being able to exude his passion for athletics.     

Patrick Joyner was born in the Bronx, NY. His family relocated to Middletown, NY,  where he grew up playing basketball and developed a love for the sport. He attended John S. Burke Catholic High School, where he was a four-year varsity basketball player. Patrick also had the opportunity to play basketball at Mt. Zion Christian Academy, located in Durham, NC. Before attending SUNY Cortland for his secondary education, Patrick attended Orange County Community College where he was a two-year scholarship player earning all-conference in his two years there.   

Patrick has AAU coaching experience along with numerous experiences coaching at summer camps held at Orange County Community College and John S. Burke Catholic High School. Patrick is always able to create a positive learning environment and develop strong bonds and relationships with the children and staff. Patrick is excited about being a part of the Stack coaching staff to continue in assisting young athletes through their skill development. He continues to look forward to furthering his skills as a coach.
